Today I have been learning to blog! I drove over to see Scott from Eseyo.com ,who is based in Brentwood and has put the fantastic website together for me. It took most of my technical skills (which are quite limited really!) but I think I kept up and I suppose the proof will be if this ends up on the website or not!
I could honestly write and write and talk and talk about autism. I think the blog is a good, but alternative way to spread the message about who I am and what I am trying to achieve through autism act. Making sure the blog is regular and of relevance and interest to people is an element I need to get into a pattern with. While Facebook posts have been my main source of publicity for the first month, the website is going to be a vehicle for moving the business forward even more. That is something I definitely want to do. When I lost my job through redundancy, a very special colleague and friend told me to ‘think big Sarah’. At the time I did not think that would been starting my own business!
I digress! I spent a good few hours with Scott today, navigating my way around the website, having the admin changed over to me, learning how to change content and learning how to blog. Apparently, it isn’t just about writing and posting but more involved with having to chose a category for the blog, adding an image, linking in other people who are mentioned
So this is it, my first solo blog …. many more to come! Hopefully !!!!!
Well done Sarah, your first blog has come out fine and is great.
I’m really pleased to see the website working for you and it is encouraging to see so much activity in the new business. It’s clear that there is a demand for what you’re doing and I’m sure you’ll do very well.
I’ll keep an eye on the blog and look forward to reading the upcoming information.
I shall look forward to doing more blogging and hopefully it will help the business to grow. Thanks again Scott for all your help and expertise.
Well done Sarah you are on your way on your journey! I am sure with your professionalism you will go far!
Thank you Terry! I’m certainly committed to moving it all forward and it’s been a great start.
