Back in May I started to deliver some of my workshops via zoom. In all honesty, it was to keep my new business going after being hit by Covid just 3 months into my first year. The need to provide my service was essential as all my booked work had been lost over night when the country went into lockdown.
I have been overwhelmed by the response and last week saw the delivery of the 24th workshop! Many people have been been regular attendees and I have got to meet people from Scotland to Cornwall and everywhere in between. A reach this wide was not expected when autism act went live in January 2020 but it has become a regular part of the week and I have enjoyed delivering every session.
A lot of thought has gone into the 2021 schedule, some workshops will not appear again for a while, 6 are being repeated and 6 are BRAND NEW titles for the new year. Many of you know, I am not into training the masses, but deliver small group, friendly training that makes delegates feel at ease and leaving feeling supported with a raise in knowledge and empowered to try some new ideas. Every workshop is uniquely written by me for autism act, based on my 26 years in education as a mainstream primary teacher and SENCO and a specialist teacher with a M Ed in autism. I pride myself on well written, easy to access concepts, with the needs of the attendees top of the list. I feel I have been there. I understand the position many of you are in. I did not receive the right training when I needed it most so autism act aims to change that for you.
I hope to see you on some of the workshops!
